INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts have released receiver Da'Rick Rogers following his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence early Monday morning.
"Conduct detrimental," coach Chuck Pagano said. "We've released him. Would be inappropriate to speak further on that."
Rogers, who had teammate Loucheiz Purifoy in the car with him, had a blood-alcohol level of at least .08 and less than .15, according to police.
"If you can't make it here, it's going to be tough to make it anywhere," Pagano said.
Rogers was a healthy inactive in the first four games of the season. He is a talented receiver, but immaturity continues to get in his way. Rogers led the SEC with 67 receptions for 1,040 yards during his sophomore year at Tennessee. He was dismissed from the football team for his maturity issues and substance abuse problems.
The Colts moved safety Dewey McDonald up from the practice squad to the 53-man roster to take Rogers' spot.
