Vernon Davis, Anthony Davis hurt

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers lost the services of Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis and right tackle Anthony Davis in Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Vernon Davis injured his back on the second play of the third quarter after making a 5-yard reception when he was tackled awkwardly. He needed help walking off the field.

It was his first game back after missing last week's loss at the Arizona Cardinals with a left ankle and knee injury.

Anthony Davis, who was making his season debut and first start after offseason shoulder surgery and a left hamstring injury sidelined him in camp, was lost in the second quarter. He was hurt when his left knee was rolled up on from behind on a sack of quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Niners receiver Michael Crabtree also left the game for a few series with a left foot injury but returned.
