Winston's behavior could cost him

It's mostly futile to speculate at this point how much this latest off-field incident involving Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston -- he was benched for the first half of Saturday's game against Clemson after shouting an obscene phrase on the FSU campus Tuesday -- will affect his NFL draft stock.

Not only do we not know how he'll respond to this incident going forward, we also don't know whether he'll enter the 2015 draft after this season or return to Tallahassee -- he's stated before he could return for another season beyond this one. We also don't know which teams will be drafting at the top of the order in 2015, whether they'll need a quarterback, how they view his off-field behavior, etc. Whenever he declares, he'll go through a battery of psychological testing and team interviews that will play a big part in his draft process.

So to sit here and say he's going to drop a half-round or something like that doesn't make sense. But I can say this
