PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Houston cornerback Brice McCain to a one-year contract.
Terms were not disclosed. McCain spent five seasons with the Texans after being selected in the sixth round of the 2009 draft. He started a career-high four games in 2013, finishing with one interception and 30 total tackles.
The 27-year-old McCain has five interceptions in his career, including one returned for a touchdown. He is expected to fight for a spot in Pittsburgh's nickel package behind starters Ike Taylor and Cortez Allen.
