Seahawks re-sign Steven Hauschka

The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed kicker Steven Hauschka to a three-year contract worth $9.1 million, sources confirmed Monday.

The deal includes $3.3 million in guaranteed money, according to sources.

The Seahawks confirmed an agreement Monday with Hauschka but didn't release terms of the deal.

Hauschka, 28, was one of the best kickers in the league in 2013, making 33 of 35 field goals he attempted in the regular season. He also made all eight of his attempts in the playoffs.

He originally signed with Seattle in September 2011 after he was released by the Denver Broncos. He becomes one of the top-10 highest-paid kickers in the league.

A native of Needham, Mass., Hauschka started his college career at Middlebury in Vermont before transferring to North Carolina State for his senior season in 2007. He spent his first two NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
