Giants sign LB O'Brien Schofield

NFL, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks

The New York Giants have agreed to terms with outside linebacker O'Brien Schofield on a two-year deal worth $8 million, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Schofield, 26, appeared in 15 games with the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks last season, recording eight tackles and one sack.

A fourth-round draft selection in 2010, Schofield has 11.5 sacks in 50 games with the Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals.

The Giants also brought back a bevy of their own players Tuesday, re-signing safety Stevie Brown, cornerback Trumaine McBride and running back Peyton Hillis.

The Giants also are expected to sign former Kansas City Chiefs guard Geoff Schwartz, who is flying to New York, a source told ESPN.com.

ESPN.com Giants reporter Dan Graziano contributed to this report.
