An arctic front pushing through the Midwest made San Francisco's 23-20 win over Green Bay at Lambeau Field one of the coldest in NFL history. During its telecast, Fox reported the temperature dipped to 2 degrees and the wind chill was minus-11. It was the seventh-coldest game at Lambeau Field since 1959, and the fourth-coldest postseason game at the stadium. The coldest NFL game on record is the 1967 championship game, known as the "Ice Bowl" won by the Packers 21-17 over the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field on New Year's Eve. The temperature dipped to minus-13, and the wind chill that day was minus-48.

INJURIES
Green Bay cornerback Sam Shields and outside linebacker Mike Neal were knocked out of the Packers' 23-20 loss to San Francisco on Sunday with knee injuries. Shields left on the second play of the 49ers' first possession after hurting his left knee. Neal appeared to hurt his right knee a few plays later. San Francisco linebacker Aldon Smith briefly left with cramps.
