WR Davante Adams declares for draft

College Football, NFL Draft, Fresno State Bulldogs

FRESNO, Calif. -- Fresno State receiver Davante Adams will skip his final two seasons of college to enter the NFL draft.

Adams said Friday he felt like he has accomplished all he can in college and is ready for the next step of his career.

Adams caught 233 passes for 3,031 yards and 38 touchdowns in 26 games at Fresno State over the past two seasons. He sat out his first year as a redshirt so he is eligible for the draft.

Adams led the nation in receptions per game (10.1), total receptions (131) and touchdown catches (24) this season. He was also second in receiving yardage with a school-record 1,718.
