Hypocrites...if the players don't like it, they can sit out in sympathy with the refs. Oh wait...they don't want to give up a weeks pay to support these 'important' refs? Play the game...bad calls work both ways. Even last year, coaches always complain about calls not going their way.

I suppose there can be faults found in the replacement referees and yes they may not be what everyone thinks they should be. May I remind everyone to remember one thing, If it were'nt for these men football would be at a standstill. Players and coaches would not be moving forward on the season. We live in a world that has an ability to only see the negative side of things. The replacment referees are doing a good job calling fair games, give them credit for that and letting the boys play ball.

For $149,000 I would play in evey game without complaining. I acctually have a facebook page named I WILL PLAY FOR THE MINNESOTA VIKING FOR $35,000.Thats how serious I am about it. These replacements are horrible, but the regular refs need to quit crying about there pay. Some of us would do your job for far less with even less boo hooing. If I made what they make, ontop of what I already make at my regular job I would be able to retire at 50. In short just hire me and others in my position and lets move forward crybaby free.

Screw these Mickey Mouse replacement referees. They don't know how to make a call. There is no way to know who would really win a game with these selective calls. These referees are inept at calls. A pee-wee football referee would know that knocking down the kicker is roughing (Tennessee-San Diego game). This is going to be a b.s. season.

I'll just be out with it..... I wish stronger words were permited... FORGET THE OLD OFFICIALS. I like some of them, don't get me wrong I know it's not always the guy on the screen making the call, but if I were a ref, I would flat out refuse to get on the mic and tell fans some of the crap I've had to hear over the last ten years. I don't expect the same ability from the new refs that exists in the old one's in only 4 games, but I like the idea of refs that don't appear to be betting on their games. Some of the stuff I've seen is absolutley inexcusable and I never hear of one of these blind mice getting fired!?!?! What does a letter of appology do for a team who missed the playoffs by one game after losing 2 due to bad officiating? I wish we could get with the times. A simple undetectible sensor and some signal tracking technology could tell the location of the ball every second so we can do away with error regarding the spot of the ball and "Tada!" did he break the plane or not? Do we want human error in the game or not? Make up your minds. And why is it that mike pererra can come on the screen and inform us that his refs made a bad call... but nothing can be done about it. Really?, What is his job if none of these guys makeing bad calls are being let go? Let's get some new blood in the NFL refferee billit instead of this apparent mafia. Bad call after bad call I see the same guys reffing every game. Keep a record and bring back the better 50% of them. Let the guys responsible for bad call go bag groceries in Canada until a ref with good vision get's Richard Reels'd and we need a stand in!

Big problem. In tonights Seahawks/Radiers game, after a turnover, play is under review for a missed call. Ref looks at it mutiple times, and then makes the wrong call. The only possible way he could miss this call is not know the tackling rule. How does the Ref not know the tackling rule? A few other very obvious missed calls in the game by officials. Hey NFL...you guys watching these games? Pretty bad! Let's get the real guys in there!

Give the referess what they want. There's going to be that one call that ends up not placing a team into the playoffs. Hope it doesn't hapen in the super bowl. We are indeed so screwd. GREAT JOB GOODELL! To the replacement refs go back to basic training.

The "real" refs have cost their share of playoff spots and playoff games to a few teams. That being said, they are infinitely better than the new guys. But I think if the year passes and there hasn't been a deal, the new officials will be as good as the old ones come playoff time. I actually think this is the time the league needs to push back and get maybe some referee training and practice like the players have.

If the officiating last night was any indication of what we are going to see Week 1, we the fans are screwed. I say we start our own fan boycott and not watch or attend games until they give us back the regular refs. They might suck as well, but nothing like what we saw last night. These guys have no idea what constitutes pass interference or roughing the passer. They need to go back to officiating division 3 college and high school games where the game is much slower.

I hear all these talking heads say the owners need to settle this with the officials and I have one question for them. Don't the owners, who are putting all the money up, have a right to make money? Last year during the player confrontation, the players said they should get a certain percentage and the owners should get a certain percentage. When the game officials want more it doesn't come out of the players percentage. What about when the concession people want more, that doesn't come out of the players percentage either. If the owners are going to get their percentage then ticket prices and parking and concessions are going to keep going up and eventually the pie goes away because the everyday fans salary is not going up and nobody except the rich can afford to go to games. Somewhere the insanity has to stop.
