Broncos made no improvement at QB. Are they really better with Manning over Tebow? 283 Days ago

Peyton picked the wrong team, if he wanted a ring, the 49ers was the team to join, With all that head you would thunk he knew that. 283 Days ago

Forget about Frankenstein head Peyton Manning, Eli is the man, he has 2 rings and counting. Peyton aint winning no more rings, its a wrap, his Frankenstein head is too much for his neck to carry for a full season, 283 Days ago

Clayton is so delusional....McGahee did NOTHING until Tebow became the starter. Tebow's run-option system made him a Pro Bowler. While Peyton is a marked aerial improvement over Tebow, the run offense, time of possession, and McGahee's stats will suffer. 287 Days ago

This die hard Bronco fan believes the following:
1. Manning's presence alone will inspire our revamped offense. Thomas will become a star this year, Decker's made huge strides in his development, and McGahee, in the best shape of his career, will thrive. Maybe not as many yards as last year, but he's great between the tackles. Hillman...*licks his chops*....what a pick. Can't wait to see him blossom!
2. Our D-lines the one weakness. Ayers, one of McDaniel's many mistakes, won't pan out. He's not driven, nor mentally tough enough to succeed in the NFL. Next year's draft will address that weakness. Linebackers and secondary? With Dumervil and Miller on the edges and the signing of Tracy Porter, we've got one scary secondary this year!
3. Our schedule is damn tough, but with Manning under center, he has the ability to break down some of the best defenses in the league, like Baltimore, Pitt and Tampa Bay, whom is this year's darkhorse in the NFC South.
Prediction: Denver will start slow, but gain momemtum as the season goes along. I see KC winning the AFC West, With Denver grabbing the #5 seed in the playoffs. Super Bowl? Not yet....Year 2 for that..... 287 Days ago

I expect us to win the AFC West by several games this year instead of backing in to it like we did last year with Tebow. We signed Kieth Brooking to help out on defense granted he isnt the player he once was but he's a leader to go along with Champ and then we add Jim Lenard from the Jets another leader type of guy and with Thomas and Decker catching Peyton Willis should have a great year so we can trade knowshun 287 Days ago

You will be disappointed, as the Broncos and their moribund franchise(that Tebow single handedly revitalized and saved), instantly goes back to moribund.
Enjoy! 287 Days ago

aha - what about your name? don't hate? aha, moribund? one of the best and proudest franchises in the league. Go to a Jets page, Tebowite!!! 287 Days ago

The receiving core will be fine. Decker is actually a decent possession receiver, and I'm sure Manning will be able to get him the ball. Thomas has the ability to rip the top off a defense (The Pittsburgh Steelers had no receiver gain 100 yards against them all season, until Thomas did it in a quarter) and guys like Stokley, Tamme, Caldwell, and Dreesen give the passing game options. The fact is, Manning is a better conventual QB than Tebow (Going out on a serious limb here) and thus the offense should more conventual. The run game will be good again, as they were effective against stacked boxes, and should be fine without Tebow to run around with them.
The question is: Is the defense actually better than last year. The secondary is in all likelihood improved because of the additions of Porter and Adams. The front seven is questionable, as Williams is out for six weeks, and the D-Line is lacking definite quality. Hopefully Fox and Del Rio can figure something out. The season depends on it. 287 Days ago

Not a "Tebow for QB" fan....but I wish Tebow had stayed and learned behind Peyton...just watching him take hand-offs and catch passes in Jets camp reminds me of the D problems TT presented as a runner.
Too bad Elway's ego wouldn't allow TT to remain a Bronco...because it is obvious that Tim would have lined up ANYWHERE the team needed him....FB, RB, TE, Special teams...anywhere he's asked to. Plus no QB controversy possible with Peyton listed as the 1 permanently.
Just the thought of a backfield set that included Peyton, McG, and Tebow would cause DC's to stroke out trying to defend it.... Oh well.. 288 Days ago

It wasn't Elway's Ego that wouldn't allow the Broncos to keep Tebow. It was Tebow's crazy fans. You talk about no QB controversy possible with Manning, but the simple fact is Tebowites are irrational, loud and a distraction. Funny how if you root so insistently for someone.. you can actually end up hurting them. 287 Days ago

Yeah, The Donkey's won't make the Playoffs and the Jets (led by Tebow win the Superbowl).
Ouch, how that hurts, lol.
The most overrated quarterback in the history of the league didn't have Terrell Davis to save him on his worst decision as an executive he will ever make. 287 Days ago

Tebow sucked, and that is why he is gone. No ego trips from John Elway, etc etc etc. Your suggestion basically would be a waste of a roster spot. 287 Days ago

He sucked? Was he sucking when he led the WORST FRANCHISE IN THE NFL BY RECORD AND TALENT TO THEIR FIRST PLAYOFF WIN IN SIX SEASONS?
What an ungrateful fool you are. 287 Days ago

Use moreno in a Steve Sewell type of roll... He is better on the edges and in the passing game anyways. He's proven that he can't take the physical abuse of a "traditional" RB role...so either use him where he can help or make a roster spot for someone who can! 288 Days ago

Check out Denver's schedule last year compare to this year. Would you like to retract that statement?

We have seen schedules we thought were going to be difficult based on the prior year turn out to be much easier than thought. The truth is, we don't know which teams are going to be good this year.. we are just guessing. You can't worry about the schedule too much. 287 Days ago
BroncoRick69
Neu7 So last years teams are just as good this year? That's about as relevant as the color of socks Manning chooses to wear on any given day. 287 Days ago
diehardnr1
as Von Millers view point is better than yours, I will put more faith in his opinion of the schedule. (I paraphrase) " We (Broncos) play a schedule full of tough, physical teams...but it evens out because we plan on being that same type of team..."
Broncos have the mind set and tools needed to be a tough, physical team AND have Peyton to boot!

The comments about McGahee are dumb. McGahee wasn't held back because of Tebow; the running game had its success because of the option and Tebow. That will change immediately with Manning at Q. Look at the running stats for the Colts for the last, well, forever. They are not competitive. Manning doesn't help with the running game because defenses are never fooled by what you might do on running downs as they were with Tebow when they weren't clear on who would have the ball. Manning will help the passing game, but that will come at the expense of the run. McGahee had is last best year last year behind Tebow and he is a fool if he doesn't believe that. By next season, someone else will be our starting tailback. 288 Days ago
Barrelman_Fan
If McGahee could run for around 5 ypc with 9 men in the box, I'd imagine he can do better with 7 in the box.
The option screwed with defenses at first, but eventually Tebow and McGahee were both getting snuffed out in those last 3 games before the playoffs. 287 Days ago

JCbronco:
1) The guy was referring to John Clayton's comments.....Think before you post, genius. Think it out........
2) He makes a good point. Yeah, MAG faced more men in the box last year, but they didn't know where the ball was going and as a result had to split assignments btw 2-3 possible ball carriers. With Peyton at QB, there will be fewer in the box, but they will only have to focus on one ball carrier 287 Days ago

You mean joseph adai sucked? no kidding. this is a much tougher better back with a better line. If you read the comments. They said that Tebow helped magahee. u can read right? sound it out... 288 Days ago

The biggest thing I've noticed is the intensity. Guys are hustling out there. It sounds cliche, but because the Rocky Mountain Air is so thin, come game time, the time spent running back to the huddle instead of walking, going 100% throughout the drill, and the mental focus that functioning while being tired requires, is going to pay dividends. 288 Days ago
