Bowe isnt worth the money. I trust scott pioli. Our running game will be number 1 in the NFL. A wide receiver isnt worth that kind of money unless your passing game is what you rely on. We can pick someone up on the free agency market if we have to.

Just replace a pro bowl receiver with a receiver that some other team cuts? Just that easy, huh? Why didn't I think of that? No wonder you trust people you've never met. Bowe will be in camp. Only question is when. If you were half as smart as you think you are, you'd realize that. Chiefs' running game won't be Top 10 without a viable passing threat. Pioli knows it. . . . and yes, Bowe knows it. If Bowe stinks up the field this season for $9 million dollars. . . and laughs all the way to the bank. . . nobody to blame but "scott pioli."

As a Chiefs fan I like Bowe, but I like everyone who suits up. As long as Cassel is the QB I'll be his biggest supporter, when he's gone I'll support the next one. Bottom line if Bowe wants to be paid like a professional he better play like a professional this year. Time to suit up and get some time in with the team before you lose 10 million dollars or more over 4 years or so on your next contract, due to lousy play this year. Other teams will just view him as just another locker room distraction they don't need.

This is how I see it playing out: Bowe's stats this year due to no offseason OTA's, training camp, new offense, ect... 48 catches for 560 yards and 4 TD's Bowe's contract next year (hopefully with another team) due to poor 2012 season... 4 years 22 mil with 7 mil signing bonus Translation: Dwayne Bowe is an IDIOT

What makes you think maybe Bowe wouldn't prefer playing for "22 mil" for fans who appreciate him, and a front office that treats ALL PLAYERS at ALL POSITIONS fairly? Bowe didn't have much of an offseason LAST season, either. Without a solid passing game (which HE provided) do you think the Chiefs would have been able to run the ball AT ALL? He's a PRO BOWLER! Bowe would have to have a season without any more cases of the dropsey's in the clutch. Sure, Bowe can lay out with the best of them.....excopt in the clutch. Too many "Hit him in a bad spot...right in the hands!" Sorry not worth $10 mil a year. Cure the butterfingers and try again! To me this should have been a non issue.. I don't believe it is necessarily Bowe either.. The Chiefs didn't want to pay him yet (somewhat understandable) and Bowe wanted the big contract. Let's play together this year and see what happens. But then Bowe's agent (Todd the idiot France) got in the way and now DBowe is holding out for far too long and is going to wind up getting hurt because he isn't in football shape. I get not showing up for a week or so but now it is time to get in camp and start learning the playbook and connecting with the new offense. Bottom line.. Bowe needs to fire his agent and I think all will go a lot smoother whether he signs with the Chiefs or another team next year

I agree Bowe should come to camp and that he is not a elite receiver, However I do agree with the key callout from the Author that is Cassel needs Bowe more than Bowe needs Cassel. Yes the Chiefs are a run first team but they will have to throw the ball and there is like it or not a chemistry between Bowe and Cassel just look at 2010. I'm a Chiefs fan and want them to do well but i agree this could endup another very bad decision for Pioli and as pointed out I think anything short of a playoff appearance and the Chiefs Nation will want Pioli's head.

Wow, this author really has no clue what he is talking about. Bowe wants a long term deal at around 10 million a year. He thinks he is as good as Megatron, Fitz, Welker, etc. Sorry but he is not. The guy vanishes when you need him the most and plays out of his mind at other times. If he was the guy that just abused Champ Bailey in the KC/Denver game then yeah, he deserves it. But for every game like that or catches like he had against the Colts, he has games like he did against Oakland where he dropped an easy TD pass, that in hindsight would of won the division for them, and games like he did against Pitt where he went up and then pulled his hands down without even trying for the ball because he knew he was going to get hit. The guy has great size, good blocking ability, and doesn't seem to get into too much trouble, but, he is just far too inconsistent to be a highly paid WR. His work ethic does leave a lot to be desired for and a lot of Chiefs fans and the front office knows that all this put together shows that Bowe is just screaming of a guy who gets paid and then would never be heard from again. The Chiefs are going to let him walk after this year. Bowe is just so dumb he doesn't even see that the only one he is really hurting is himself. By him not showing up to camp, he is not in football shape, not knowing the playbook, and not building a rapport with his offensive teammates. All that added up is Bowe having another subpar season and then next offseason not getting the contract from anyone in the league that he feels he is worth. No one in the NFL is going to give him a huge contract or 10+ million a year. Heck, Brandon Lloyd and Bowe have about the same numbers over the last few years and Lloyd is only getting around 4 million if I am remembering correctly. I say, like a lot of knowledgeable Chiefs fans, " Good riddance to Stone Hands Bowe. You have let us down far too often."

I agree, anyone who says 'old Bowe vanished' hasn't been watching the same Bowe I have, who consistently fails to try when his team needs him most right up to the present. Not come close and miss, but just not try. He's an amazing athlete and he fails to live up to top 10 receiver dollars when it matters. Let him cry and whine a bit and move on if need be.

I've watched almost every Chiefs game for the last 20 years. I'm not counting the bad passes. I'm looking at his effort in balls that should of been caught and wasn't because of him. You could put '07 Brady throwing to Bowe and Bowe would still drop a good bit of passes. Just because Tyler Palko was throwing to him last year doesn't give him an excuse of missing very easy catchable balls. That is a cop out. This is part of the reason you have seen a few teams like NE or Pitt continue their success year after year. They get and keep team oriented guys that check their egos at the door. I would be shocked if Mike Wallace is on the Steelers after this year. One reason I love watching Brady is he plays with a chip on his shoulder and plays like a 6th round pick with something to prove. Now if only Bowe would give KC the consistent game in and game out effort like that, you would have no gripes from me or a lot of Chiefs fans.

I think the chiefs are better off spending their money elsewhere. Plus we are moving to more of a two TE set. Baldwin has really worked hard this offseason and it has showed against the Cardinals this week in practice. I do however want bowe to start showing up for practice or at least us try and get something out of him.
