While no one would deny that the Indianapolis Colts' selection of Andrew Luck was a pivotal moment for that franchise, their second-round pick of 6-foot-6, 247-pound TE Coby Fleener at No. 34 overall... Read full story

Tony Gonzalez was not a "converted" basketball player. He came to Cal on a football scholarship and was a good enough athlete to also play basketball. His football career at Cal far out shined his rather average basketball career. 311 Days ago

Only person that can cover a TE is a TE on D. And even then they need to have the coverage skills to do it.

Greg Olsen had more targets, catches, yards, and TDs than shockey did last year, so it seems strange to say that Shockey was Carolina's primary TE. And by strange I mean completely wrong. 311 Days ago

The tight end revolution is simply a product of the offensive revolution in the game of football. All that the information shows me is that teams are passing more, and as a result all players capable of catching passes are receiving more opportunities to do so. 311 Days ago

Did you not read the part about how the percentage of receptions, yards, and TDs for TEs has risen from 16% to 22%, and how that means WRs and RBs are getting a smaller portion of the passes? 311 Days ago

As a Colts fan I'm honestly thinking (hoping) that with the TE's and much better receiving corps this year than I had honestly expected, I feel like Andrew Luck could have a very good year. And while I don't believe 9 wins is a completely ridiculous prediction I still expect it to be between 5-7. The expectations for 2013 and beyond is an entirely different matter, with 43 million in cap space next season I expect us to be in the mix of the top teams for quite some time. 311 Days ago

did you see your defense last year? no way you get 5 wins with the worst defense in the league and a rookie QB 311 Days ago

shockey wasn't the panther's number 1 TE, Greg Olsen was, and while he didn't have a Gronk-esque season, he did catch 45 balls for 540 yards and 5 tds, which isnt too bad 311 Days ago
