COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Freshman forward Makayla Waterman is expected to miss the 2014-15 season after undergoing knee surgery Tuesday.
Waterman tore the meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament in her knee in Ohio State's first practice Oct. 6.
The Kettering, Ohio, native was a top-35 recruit. She helped Fairmont High School to the 2013 Ohio Division I state title, scoring 24 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the championship game. Waterman was part of a Buckeyes recruiting class ranked among the top 10 in the country.
