LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Brandy Montgomery scored 22, and Tra'Cee Tanner had 19 points, eight rebounds and three steals to lead 13th-seeded Auburn women past No. 12 seed Florida 71-49 in the first round of the Southeastern Conference tournament on Wednesday.

Auburn (13-17), which will play No. 5 seed Texas A&M in the second round on Thursday, snapped a five-game losing streak against the Gators. The Tigers have now won four straight against SEC opponents after opening the season 0-13 in conference play.

Auburn scored the first seven points, led 13-2 and limited Florida to 7-of-26 shooting -- including 1-of-6 3-pointers -- in the first half to take a 31-18 advantage into the break.

Florida (13-17) trailed by at least 12 throughout the second half and has scored fewer than 50 points in three of its last four games.

Ronni Williams led the Gators with 16 points.
