Add "Home Run Derby" and "practice for a Home Run Derby" to the list of things Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh won't eschew his patented khakis for.
For the past few days, Harbaugh has been trying his luck on the diamond, starting Wednesday when he, while wearing slacks, went deep a few times in his warmup for the Michigan Softball Academy Home Run Derby. He even dabbed after one homer for good measure.
But when the big event came around Thursday night, Harbaugh, despite coming awfully close a few times, failed to leave the yard in his showdown against fellow former Michigan quarterback and 10-year MLB veteran Rick Leach.

Alas, Harbaugh can take solace in the fact that, by competing, he helped raise money for the American Cancer Society.
