LOGAN, Utah -- Utah State coach Matt Wells has dismissed JoJo Natson for a violation of team rules.
The school announced the decision Sunday night but did not specify which rules were broken.
KSL.com reported that Natson previously pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge related to diverting school funds that were intended for a teammate.
Natson played 39 games and started 19 as a receiver and punt returner during his three years with the Aggies. He was named first-team all-Mountain West as a punt returner after his junior season. Natson finished his career with 127 receptions -- 11th in school history.
Utah State opens the season with a home game against Southern Utah on Sept. 3.
