Utah State QB Chuckie Keeton granted 5th year of eligibility

LOGAN, Utah -- Utah State quarterback Chuckie Keeton has been granted a medical hardship for a fifth year of eligibility by the NCAA and Mountain West.

The school announced the decision Friday.

Keeton missed the final 11 games last season after reinjuring his surgically repaired left knee in Utah State's home victory over Wake Forest on Sept. 13. In 2013, Keeton tore the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligament in the knee against BYU.

In three games last season, Keeton completed 51 of 92 passes for 426 yards two touchdowns and ran for 81 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
