Postseason #CFBrank: 41-50

We're wrapping up the 2014 season by ranking the top 100 players in college football, just like we did before the season. As the rankings are announced, you can also find them here on the pages of ESPN.com.

What is #CFBrank?

#CFBrank is the Twitter hashtag to use if you want to get involved in the discussion or just follow along.

How did we rank the players?

We asked 32 of ESPN's college football writers and editors to rate players on a scale of 0-10 based on their performance during the 2014 season.

T-41. RB Jay Ajayi, Boise State Broncos
Score: 7.47
This past season, Ajayi became the only player in FBS history to accumulate 1,800 rushing yards and 500 receiving, as he finished with a Boise State single-season-record 1,823 rushing yards and 535 receiving. He set school records with 2,358 all-purpose yards, 347 carries and 32 total touchdowns. He also led FBS in scoring with 13.7 points per game and helped lead the Broncos to a 12-2 record.

T-41. WR Justin Hardy, East Carolina Pirates
Score: 7.47
The combination of Hardy and QB Shane Carden turned ECU into one of the most explosive offenses in the country in 2014. Hardy finished with 1,494 yards (fourth nationally) and 121 catches (second nationally) while hauling in 10 touchdown receptions. His eight 100-yard games trailed only two other receivers -- both Biletnikoff finalists -- and in four games vs. FBS competition, Hardy had 32 catches for 432 yards.

T-41. DE Nate Orchard, Utah Utes
Score: 7.47
Another versatile, hybrid defensive end/linebacker, Orchard led the nation in sacks per game and was fourth nationally in tackles for a loss per game. His 18.5 sacks were second nationally, and he ranked third in the conference with 21 tackles for a loss. He also posted a total of 84 stops, 54 of them solo.

44. C Reese Dismukes, Auburn Tigers
Score: 7.41
Nick Marshall and Cameron Artis-Payne got most of the attention, but center Dismukes was just as important to the success of Auburn's running game. The four-year starter won the Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center and seems poised to have a long career in the NFL if he stays healthy.

T-45. DE Shilique Calhoun, Michigan State Spartans
Score: 7.38
Calhoun joined elite company at Michigan State as the third defensive end in school history to earn consecutive selections to the All-Big Ten first team. He played more consistently as a junior than in his breakout sophomore season, recording a tackle for loss in 10 of MSU's 13 games to finish with a team-high eight sacks. Best of all for the Spartans, he's coming back as a senior.

T-45. OT Laremy Tunsil, Ole Miss Rebels
Score: 7.38
He dealt with injuries this season, but Tunsil remains one of the SEC's top offensive tackles when healthy. One of the centerpieces of Ole Miss' vaunted 2013 recruiting class, Tunsil is entering a junior season during which he will almost certainly develop into one of the nation's most dominant tackles.

47. LB/RB Myles Jack, UCLA Bruins
Score: 7.28
He's not a two-way player -- he's a linebacker who "occasionally gets some carries." And as a linebacker, he was second on the team to only Butkus Award winner Eric Kendricks with 88 tackles. He also added eight tackles for a loss, seven pass breakups and an interception. While moonlighting on offense, he carried 28 times for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

T-48. K Roberto Aguayo, Florida State Seminoles
Score: 7.25
Aguayo was a consensus All-American and a Lou Groza Award finalist after connecting on 27 of 30 field goal attempts and all 55 extra-point tries for the ACC champion Seminoles. His 136 points were second among kickers nationally and eighth overall. He made 23 straight field goals at one point during the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

T-48. OT Spencer Drango, Baylor Bears
Score: 7.25
The rock of the Baylor offensive line protected Bryce Petty's blindside all season. Despite attempting 519 passes, the Drango and the Bears gave up an average of fewer than two sacks per game.

T-48. DL Robert Nkemdiche, Ole Miss Rebels
Score: 7.25
The nation's No. 1 overall prospect in 2013, Nkemdiche earned All-America nods from multiple organizations as a sophomore while leading Ole Miss to one of its most successful seasons in years. With Nkemdiche solidifying the center of the defensive line, the "Landsharks" boasted one of the SEC's top defenses in 2014.
