Utes lose WR Dres Anderson

College Football, Utah Utes

Utah will be without receiver Dres Anderson for the rest of the season as the senior has an undisclosed knee injury, the school announced Wednesday morning.

Anderson, a team captain, was injured in the fourth quarter of last week's 24-21 win over USC, according to a team official. He finished the game, catching three balls for 30 yards.

He leads the Utes (No. 17 CFP, No. 18 AP) with 355 receiving yards and four touchdowns and is second on the team with 22 receptions.

Anderson, the son of former NFL wide receiver Willie "Flipper" Anderson, ends his Utah career ranked fifth on the school's all-time receiving list with 2,077 yards.

Utah (6-1, 3-1) travels to Arizona State (No. 14 CFP, No. 15 AP) this weekend in a game with significant Pac-12 South implications. They also have meetings with No. 5 Oregon, Stanford, Arizona (No. 12 CFP, No. 14 AP) and Colorado.
