Syracuse quarterback Terrel Hunt will not face additional punishment from the ACC after his ejection from the Orange's opener Friday, an ACC spokesperson confirmed.

Hunt, a redshirt junior, was ejected for throwing a punch during the second quarter of a 27-26 double-overtime win over Villanova. Wildcats linebacker Dillon Lucas had made contact with Hunt's helmet after a tackle by linebacker Joey Harmon. Hunt then punched Lucas on the face mask with his left hand. Flags were thrown on the play, and Hunt was ejected.

Orange coach Scott Shafer issued a statement Saturday night regarding Hunt, saying: "Terrel and I have talked regarding his flagrant penalty and he fully understands the behavior is not condoned and regrets his action."

Redshirt freshman Austin Wilson replaced Hunt, completing 11 of 17 passes for 89 yards. Hunt was 10-of-17 for 94 yards and rushed for 25 yards before his ejection.

Syracuse is off this weekend before playing at Central Michigan on Sept. 13.
