Razorbacks-themed braces available

Arkansas football fans didn't open their mouths much to cheer last season. But should they do so this season, some will do it with a Razorbacks logo on their teeth.

Arkansas Braces, one of the largest orthodontic practices in the United States, has worked with sports management firm IMG to secure the license for the logo that will be affixed to the front two teeth on willing fans who wear braces.

The practice, which has the exclusive right to put the Razorbacks logo on braces, will offer the option to patients free of charge.

"We've always been about doing things that set us apart, and this is just another one of those things," CEO Matt Wilkins said.

Wilkins said the firm ordered 200 pieces of the Razorbacks-molded metal as a test and were already placing them in fans' mouths in the first week.

As part of the deal, Arkansas Braces is also now the "Official Smile Provider" of the team.

The Razorbacks, who went 3-9 in Bret Bielema's first season as coach last year, play No. 6 Auburn on Saturday.
