I see a lot of meaningless posts below. FACT: Bama can claim 18 NC's and only claims 14. No, I don't believe Bama will beat LSU but it won't be because of the HB. It will be because of Montgomery and Mingo, if they lose. No way Arkansas beats Bama this year. They don't even have their play caller this year that made them what they are today. Bama will finish 11-1 in the season IMO.

I think Alabama beats LSU badly, actually. Nick Saban will keep the defense incredible, as usual, and the offense will be fantastic this year, with McCarron having a year under his belt, and the fantastic foursome of Lacy, Yeldon, Hart and Fowler running through, around and over their defense. Alabama finishes the year undefeated again, and has a too close for comfort NCG win over USC for their 15th (claimed or not) national championship. Alabama is in Dynasty mode once again, and the unstoppable train that is Nick Saban is going to run until his retirement in Tuscaloosa. ROLL TIDE ROLL

Abrell. I hope you are not choosing LSU as the one team to beat Bama next season. For starters, Bama moved the ball well against the Tigers in both games last year. They had the so-called "honey badger's" number, Tide WR Kevin Norwood burned him on several plays for big gains. And the O-line kept the pressure off McCarron for most of the night. Don't buy into allthe Mettenberger hype just yet either. The kid looked good in the LSU spring game. But what team is going to purposely make its new starting QB look bad in a glorified scrimmage? The kid only had 11 pass attempts all season last year. And they were all against FCS Northwestern State.... Let's see the kid play a few games against some SEC teams before we credit him as the next Cam Newton.

42 to 14. Auburn couldn't even score an offensive TD in last year's Iron Bowl. Now they don't have offensive mastermind Gus Malzahn or their celebrated RB Michael Dyer. I can't wait for the season to start, The Barners are going to be HORRIBLE!!!

Alabama has 12 games on its schedule and the only one that may challenge the Crimson Tide is the one in Fayetteville. But, with John L. Smith as the head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks, now that one has become like the other 11. LSU will be good, as will the Hogs and Michigan may stay with the Tide for a half. But Tennessee, hell, its head coach may not be there when the Tide comes rolling in. Bama vs. South Carolina in the SEC title game and then Bama plays USC for the BCS national title.

Did we not learn anything from 2010? I can only hope Bama has its head better attached than yours. Otherwise it is going to be a multiple loss season and some worthless bowl game.

And you better hope that the above prediction falls through because the Tide will only be better next year. The youth that Saban has will have the experience it is lacking this year.

I believe that Alabama has 9 championships in the "poll era" is what espn and other media outlets have reported. Six under Coach Bryant, one under Coach Stallings and two under Coach Saban. But there are at least 3 from the 20's and 30's but you can look those up yourselves.

Bama fans its ok that people say we dont have 14 titles I understand where they are coming from. Bama claimed one from the tuscaloosa times as a title so I understand. BUT, if you go by what ESPN and all other media outlets say, then we have 9 which is still the most in college football 1 ahead of Notre Dame and Miami so its ok say what you will people.

In 2010 Alabama replaced 9 starters on Defense alone. Plus they didn't have as many experienced 4 and 5 star players on the depth chart. Bama didn't rotate players throughout the 2009 season as well as they did last year, So 2010 required much more rebiulding than 2012 will. Plus the 2010 Capital One Bowl was not a "worthless bowl game". It is one of the highest-ranked bowls, outside of the 4 BCS bowls. They played the B1G co-champions that year, and CRUSHED them 49-7.
