he would be better off going juco for a year or he could go division II. That would be his best option. Hell if he wants to play next year do it , there are alot of good programs he could be apart oF. Quite feeling sorry for him , The NCAA has got to hold by their rules . This player is not the best WR in the country!

The NCAA needs to be done away with. It serves no purpose other than being the Gestapo of college athletics.

In other news...every top ranked KC football player (Missouri and Kansas side) is committing to Mizzou for the 2013 class which now has 10 commits. Maybe the move to the SEC didnt have the recruiting effect in KC the gayhawks were hoping for...shucks!

seriously? do you think that 20 years from now 2% of america will remember missouri played football in the big 12, or even less? you sound like someone who turned into a blowhard jack@ss after their team won a championship, only your football team never won a big 12 championship. they did manage a big-8 co-championship back in 1969. go team!

Hahaha, come on, like this would have made a difference. Weis may (big emphasisi on MAY) get them turned around eventually, but it sure as ish won't be this year.

That sucks. Wish he would have stuck it out and not have been driven off by the competition. Oh well, it's probably best for both parties as OU is now stock full of WR talent and he'll actually get to play at Kansas.

If they are even on TV...its too bad they wont ask daddy Bevo permission to play Mizzou and lose again at Arrowhead, maybe they could get a good enough GROUPON deal to get 10,000 fans to show up, not likely

Well, hold on, TigerAviator.... We Mizzou fans don't really want KU football to TOTALLY die off... As for me, I'm looking forward to ROTFLMAO watching KU get the 5h!t kicked out of them by TCU/WVU/OU/TX... and pretty much everybody else in the Big 12!!!! Watching KU this upcoming season is going to be better than ANYTHING on Comedy Central!!!

The player didn't deserve a hardship waiver. Kansas is not all that far from Oklahoma. He is lucky that OU waived the additional one year loss of eligibility for players transferring inside the Big 12 conference.

How do you know he didn't deserve a hardship waiver? If he didn't why would Coach Stoops and the Athletic Office at OU agreed and aid him in the process to get one? You have no idea what J has been through in his life or the reasons he needed to be 5 hours closer to his house. Stupid comment.

Honestly, as a Kansas fan, I partially agree. I think he had a case for an appeal, but I'm not surprised or upset that he didn't get one. We'll still have him next year, along with that QB from BYU who looked pretty damn good in the spring game.

A history of being "loose" with the rules will garner that rep.

45 minutes from home vs 6 hours is not significantly closer to your family? Stoops obviously felt that he deserved it or he wouldn't have waived the in-conference transfer penalty. I don't know what we did to the NCAA but it seems like our guys are always getting denied or the harshest penalty available. Maybe we need some new staff to make these sort of appeals.

Too bad the NCAA ruling committees can't be brought up on review, get denied, then are told to appeal by the judges, only to be DENIED again. I guess they just like rubbing it in.
