Im glad the SEC picked up the aggies and the tigers. They will only make the SEC deeper and better. But they had both better change their offensive styles. Throwing the ball around 50 times a game wont work in the big boy league. That will only get your QB killed and your coach fired. You guys better start to focus on playing good D and running the ball, or you could be in for some serious beatdowns. Some of these beatdowns are unavoidable, like Bama and LSU. But im pretty sure Arky, SC, UGA, and FLA could stomp either new member. And im pretty sure that Vandy, Auburn, and Miss St. are on par with your teams as well. Good luck.

I agree that the new additions make the nation's #1 conference even better. However, I no longer call it the SEC. Mizzou and A&M AREN'T IN THE SOUTHEAST. For this UGA fan, the conference is now just something to win. I feel no affinity for it.

welcome to the SEC family Texas A&M from the Gator Nation. But you better be strapped in because the really good and overlooked Gator team I saw last weekend will be ready to go on Sept 8th. Dont worry about the haters. They would be happy to be in your shoes today prepping to play in the greatest conference in the country. See you at Kyle Field this fall. Go Gators!!!!

I hope aTm does really well in the SEC if for no other reason than to shut up all these B12 whiners stalkers about everything aTm and Mizzou. One thing both schools will find out immediately is that they will be respected in the SEC even when they don't win every game. I would hate to think how Vandy would be treated in the B12. I'm sure it would be shameful, and yet they are a well respected member of the SEC in spite of them not being a football power.

How long before the aggies start cheering for their conference instead of their team? Hello Arkansas!

To all Aggie fans........don't listen to all this "bottom feeder" crap. The people writing that are wishing they were in the SEC. You have a fine team, a fine programs, and tons of fans........just like all our teams. You will compete as well as anyone. WELCOME TO THE SEC. We are happy for the addition of Missouri and A&M. The addition of these teams just makes America's #1 conference even tougher. Play hard and win your bowl games and you will be fine.

There seem to be a lot of Aggies who want to think that the Move has turned the recruiting world upside down and inside out, while a lot of UT and OU types who want to pretend it doesn't change a thing. They're all wrong. It doesn't automatically put Texas A&M on par with those other two schools, but it does have tremendous long-term value. Texas A&M has the opportunity to appeal to the competitive drive and self-confidence every great athlete has in spades. At Texas A&M you can compete with the best. You can get the kind of exposure your talent deserves. Yes, Austin and Norman are nice places to play football, but at Texas A&M you will never have to play in front of crowds as small and lifeless as those in Ames, Iowa, or Lawrence, Kansas, or Waco, Texas. Competing and winning will be the key, but the value of representing your home state in the SEC will always be there for Texas A&M recruiting. The bottom line... There's a lot more upside than downside potential here.

Texas kids have played in the SEC for decades. Its not like A&M finally gives them an opportunity. I think LSU and Arkansas will be impacted more so than UT or OU.

This is nothing more than A&M throwing away 100s of years of tradition to be a bottom feeder in the SEC. It's clear what your school did was wrong by the justice of the last basketball and football seasons. The question is how long will A&M be punished for their cheating ways. Time will tell, but Tiger Woods still hasn't won a major so it could be a while.

that is assuming SEC is forever the leading conference.... looking back at history, every "great" civlization or conference has had its day and nights.... the move is nothing more than a money move and hopes that getting away from The University of Texas will aid in AtM's bottom line.

Good post, only time will tell, Aggies need to put together some winning seasons, although they will always be competive with any SEC team. Who knows, a sleeping giant may have just awoke.

SEC football is religion. So Missouri & Texas A&M get ready to say your prayers.

I just hope some of u aggies don't give up on ur insider renewal at the end of the ball season. Ha best 7-6 team the nation has ever seen, that's the type of talk we don't like in the sec, if our team does crappy we just hope better for next yr, we don't try to put BBQ on uncooked meat. Lost ur coach, lost ur qb who is unworthy of the first end draftick he might bet, just like that other qb from the big twelve last yr. That being said I do like Jeff fuller, is he still there? Who is gonna be the qb? I'm dear friends with two die hard aggies and they even realize it is going to be a tuff transition, some of u. Are just bums

Funny thing is I never heard an Aggie say F@ck the SEC. Maybe its all in your head bro! Let it go. Sure the Big12 misses one of their trolls.

A&M will finish 4th in the west behind alabama, arky, and lsu. 6 in the conference overall.

I got the aggies finishing sixth in the west only ahead of ol miss. They'll also behind ugh, uf and sc in the east, possibly even vandy. That's way down the line.

The Hogs come to Kyle Field this time around and by that point in the season it may be time for the Aggies to take the hogs down.

better get ready to get physical going into the sec...just watched the alabama spring game and looks like they are a mini nfl team. 5 stars across the board. i just dont see anyone who can match up with them. really unfair how good they are.

People really underestimate the aggies. they were the best 7-6 team this nation has ever seen. Every game was competitive and with the right breaks could have gone 11-1 last year. I'm just sayin, watch out
