I know Calipari has said that this has been a great season, but really, he has only one thing in mind: to cut down the nets as champion.
Kentucky shot 57 percent against Louisville, the fourth time in five tourney games it shot over 50 percent.
Anthony Davis was unbelievable once again. You can look at his stats --18 points, 14 rebounds, 7-of-8 shooting from the floor and 5 blocked shots. He is worth 15 points a game on defense with his intimidation.
Remember, he is only a freshman and has room to get even better. He is so unselfish on the court.
The score was tied at 49 when Kentucky found a way to go on a spurt. Darius Miller was a big-time factor in the second half with nine of his 13 points.
Marquis Teague was also a factor, driving to the basket and dishing the rock.
A couple of concerns for the Wildcats: They allowed Louisville 19 offensive rebounds. Kentucky also missed nine of its 20 free throws.
Louisville has a lot to be proud of. The Cardinals are going to be very tough next season, one of my preseason top five teams for sure.
Kansas staged a great rally to beat Ohio State to advance to the title game.
Bill Self did a great job getting this team to the finals. The Jayhawks lost four starters from last season.
Kansas got big plays from Elijah Johnson and Trevor Releford.
Jared Sullinger did not play to the level you expect. Deshaun Thomas was in foul trouble and Aaron Craft made a few questionable drives.
Kansas lost to Kentucky by 10 at Madison Square Garden back in November. These teams are very different now.
