WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State's Gregg Marshall says he will remain as coach of the Shockers after leading them to the Missouri Valley Conference's regular-season title.

Earlier in the week published reports said Marshall turned down a $2 million offer to become Nebraska coach, a report Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne denied.

Marshall led Wichita State to a 27-6 record and an at-large big to the NCAA tournament, but the Shockers lost to VCU in the second round of the South Regional. Wichita State has a 98-41 record in his four years at the school.

Last year, the Shockers won the NIT tournament.
