NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Lamont Jones scored 24 points and Jermel Jenkins had 21, with the pair combining to hit 11 3-pointers, to lead regular-season Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champions Iona in a 98-61 rout of Saint Peter's Sunday.

The Gaels (24-6, 15-3) were 15 of 33 (45.5 percent) from beyond the arc, including back-to-back 3s by Sean Armand to open the second half of the regular-season finale for both teams. That sparked a 41-8 Gaels run out of the break that turned a five-point halftime lead into a 38-point advantage midway through the second half.

Iona held the Peacocks scoreless for seven minutes during the spree.

Jenkins finished 7 of 13 from 3-point range, Jones was 4 of 8 and Armand ended up 3 of 6 for the Gaels.

The Peacocks shot just of 5 of 16 (31.3 percent) from long range.

Darius Conley had 12 points to pace Saint Peter's (5-25, 4-14).
