On Tuesday, we examined some of the top post prospects left on the board in the Class of 2011 and one of those guys is Ryan Rhoomes (Queens, N.Y./Nia Prep).
He was making a big name for himself last spring, standing out at the Jordan brand regional game and then taking MVP honors at the Nike iS8 Spring Classic before graduating from Cardozo High School in June and playing in the Nike World Basketball Festival and heading off to Turkey for the FIBA games.
In September, he began his post-graduate season in Mississippi only to return in early November to attend the Alif Muhammad Nia School in Newark, N.J.
While Rhoomes made his Nia debut shortly thereafter, his first appearance under a major exposure microscope came a couple of weeks ago at the National Prep Showcase. He opened with a strong 16 point, seven rebound performance in a win over Maine Central Institute but followed that up with a solid but unspectacular nine point and seven rebound outing against New Hampton.
