Emery propels BYU past San Francisco 114-89

SAN FRANCISCO -- Nick Emery sank 10 3-pointers and scored a career-high 37 points to propel BYU to a 114-89 win over San Francisco on Thursday night.

Emery finished 12 of 15 from the field, hitting 10 for 12 from behind the arc, to set a school record for most points scored by a freshman in a single game and tie the program record for single-game treys.

Chase Fischer added 22 points for BYU (18-8, 9-4 West Coast Conference), while Kyle Collinsworth had 17, Kyle Davis 12 and Jordan Chatman 11. Corbin Kaufusi had 10 points to go with 10 rebounds for the Cougars, who shot 58 percent from the field (38-66) and 17 for 27 from 3-point range.

San Francisco (13-11, 6-7) led 5-2 in the first half before BYU broke away with 16-0 run sparked by Emery's first 3.

Devin Watson's 29 points led four Dons in double figures.
