Justin Anderson ready for return

Virginia Cavaliers junior guard Justin Anderson could play Saturday at Louisville if he can tolerate practice Thursday and Friday, Virginia coach Tony Bennett told ESPN Wednesday night.

The 6-foot-6 Anderson, who was in contention for all-American and ACC player of the year status prior to fracturing his left pinky finger against Louisville on Feb. 7, will compete in his first full practice Thursday.

The second-ranked Cavs (28-1, 16-1 ACC), a projected No. 1 seed by ESPN.com's bracketologist Joe Lunardi, won the ACC regular-season title outright for the second straight season. The Cavs are 7-0 without Anderson.

"Justin will play in the ACC tournament unless something unforeseen happens,'' Bennett said in a text message Wednesday night.

Anderson was averaging 13.4 points and 4.3 rebounds prior to getting hurt.
