The Wichita State Shockers finished the regular season leading the Missouri Valley in both offensive and defensive efficiency, and they are one of seven in the nation ranked in the top 20 in both categories.

Meanwhile Northern Iowa, ranked No. 2 in the Missouri Valley in offensive and defensive efficiency, is more of a one-man show. Senior forward Seth Tuttle's player efficiency rating (32.2) trails only Frank Kaminsky this season.

Along with the Shockers and Panthers, here are eight other mid-major teams to keep an eye on as conference tournaments begin March 3.

Note: All statistics and ranks through March 1.
