Tai Wynyard to join Wildcats

Tai Wynyard has committed to Kentucky, sources told ESPN.com.

Wynyard is a New Zealand native who also visited Villanova and Texas during a trip to the United States earlier this month.

The 6-foot-9 post player is currently a member of the 2016 class, but there is a chance he reclassifies and enrolls at Kentucky for next season.

Wynyard participated in the Jordan Brand International All-Star Game last year, scoring two points and grabbing one rebound.

He is the first member of Kentucky's 2016 class, but the Wildcats aren't finished in 2015 yet. They have the No. 1 class in the country, with signatures from Skal Labissiere (No. 3), Isaiah Briscoe (No. 13) and Charles Matthews (No. 42). Kentucky is also still in pursuit of multiple five-star prospects in the senior class, including Jaylen Brown (No. 2), Malik Newman (No. 4) and Ivan Rabb (No. 6).
