Is this Duke's best team ever?

Insider Men's College Basketball, Duke Blue Devils

How fitting that Mike Krzyzewski is drawing closer to a mind-boggling 1,000 career wins with what might turn out to be one of his best teams. True, it's early in the season, and we're speaking of a 9-0 team that starts three freshmen. Any praise offered here may need to be revised as soon as next month. Nevertheless, here is what we think we know about Duke in 2014-15.

For an incredible sixth consecutive season, the Blue Devils are likely to have the ACC's No. 1-ranked offense. Jahlil Okafor has been every bit as good as advertised. He's carrying roughly the same workload in this offense that Jabari Parker claimed in 2013-14, and all the freshman has done is convert 65 percent of his 2-point attempts while dominating the offensive glass.

Quinn Cook has been deadly from both sides of the arc; Amile Jefferson is very nearly a second Okafor on the offensive boards, Tyus Jones has been superb at the point; and Justise Winslow draws fouls at a higher rate than any of those guys. This is a lethal offense. No, the defense won't be as strong, but with Jefferson no longer forced to play the 5-spot, it's exceedingly likely that the Blue Devils will be much improved on that side of the ball, compared to what we saw last season.

Add it all up and the potential is clearly there for this to be one of the best teams that Coach K has had in years. But just how well do these guys stack up against the strongest Blue Devils teams of the past? I decided to find out.
