Daily Word: Who did the best coaching job?

By ESPN.com | ESPN.com

Each day, some of our college hoops experts discuss the biggest issues, trends and themes in and around college basketball.

1. Which coach did the best job to get his team to the Final Four?

Andy Katz: Tom Izzo. The Spartans weren't Final Four-worthy a few weeks ago, and Izzo had to make halftime adjustments in each of the past two weekends. This may be his best coaching job yet.

Myron Medcalf: John Calipari's squad has been under a microscope since its nationally televised tour of the Bahamas this past summer. No team in America faced more pressure, especially as it became clear that Kentucky could become the first team in nearly 40 years to go undefeated. With all of that talent coupled with grand expectations, it's amazing that Kentucky is just two games from perfection. Calipari has guided this elite crew on the court and has managed a multitude of personalities off it. That's not easy to do with history on the line.

Jeff Goodman: I have go with Izzo here. His team isn't overly talented -- at least compared to his standards -- but he found a way to go to his seventh Final Four in 16 years. The Spartans didn't face any cupcakes, either. Georgia, Virginia, Oklahoma and Louisville have four really good coaches.

2. Which game Saturday is more intriguing?

Katz: Wisconsin-Kentucky. Rematch. Player of the year candidate. Undefeated UK. It is a headline affair. Duke is rarely relegated to the undercard.

Medcalf: I like Wisconsin-Kentucky because it's a rematch from last year and it's the better game. Wisconsin made 83 percent of its 3-point attempts in the second half of Saturday's win over Arizona in the Elite Eight. The Badgers have the personnel to stretch the floor, and they're led by a likely Wooden Award winner (Frank Kaminsky) and a possible lottery pick (Sam Dekker). They were one shot from the national championship last season. Wisconsin won't back down against Kentucky this time, either.

Goodman: Wisconsin-Kentucky. This is the heavyweight matchup. The Rematch. The top two front lines in the country.

3. Of the three other teams left, which one is best equipped to take down Kentucky?

Katz: Tough call between Wisconsin and Duke. Both have a shot, but I'm still picking Kentucky.

Medcalf: Wisconsin. Kaminsky, Dekker and Nigel Hayes created matchup problems for Arizona, one of America's top defensive teams. The Badgers aren't easy to defend; they have a rare combination of size and versatility within their frontcourt. That inside-outside talent should help the Badgers compete in Saturday's game.

Goodman: Wisconsin. The Badgers have the size, experience and shooters.
