HARTFORD, Conn. -- Jameel Warney recorded his Division I-leading 20th double-double, and Carson Puriefoy scored 22 on Saturday night to help Stony Brook beat Hartford for the fifth-straight time 74-59.

Warney had 30 points -- on 13-of-17 shooting -- 17 rebounds and three blocked shots, while Puriefoy became 24th player in Stony Brook history to score 1,000 career points. He now has 1,006.

Warney scored six and Puriefoy five during an 18-2 run which gave Stony Brook (21-10, 12-4 America East) a 13-point lead with 11 minutes left in the first.

Hartford (14-15, 7-9), which made 7 of 29 (24 percent) first-half field goals, including 2 of 9 from 3-point range, trailed by double figures the rest of the way.

Corban Wroe's layup with 15:08 remaining pulled the Hawks within 45-35, but they went scoreless for five-plus minutes as the Seawolves scored 15 straight to seal it.

Wroe led Hartford with 17 points.
