FULLERTON, Calif. -- Garrett Nevels scored 16 points and led five players in double figures as Hawaii blasted Cal State Fullerton 91-70 on Saturday night in the regular season finale for both teams.
Stefan Jovanovic added 15 points and four rebounds for the Rainbow Warriors (20-12, 8-8 Big West Conference). Aaron Valdes had 12 points and nine rebounds, Isaac Fleming had 11 points and Stefan Jankovic 10.
The Rainbow Warriors went 14-1 to start and never trailed on their way to a 39-31 lead at the break. They stretched it to 47-36 on a Valdes dunk with 17:27 to play. Nevels and Fleming sank back-to-back 3-pointers with 13:03 remaining and Hawaii followed that with a 14-6 run for a 74-54 lead with 7:49 to go and the Rainbow Warriors cruised to the win.
Alex Harris led the Titans (9-22, 1-15) with 15 points and six assists.
