SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Alan Williams had 15 points and 15 rebounds Saturday night, and UC Santa Barbara beat UC Irvine 54-51.

Zalmico Harmon's 3-pointer gave the Gauchos a 49-45 lead with 1:25 left -- the first points in 4:57 for UCSB (16-12, 9-5 Big West).

Travis Souza's 3-pointer pulled Irvine (17-11, 10-4) within 49-48.

Williams made 1 of 2 free throws and DaJuan Smith added two more for a 52-48 lead with 15.2 seconds left.

Will Davis II's three-point play got UCI within one, but Harmon made two free throws and the Gauchos fouled Jaron Martin with 1.5 seconds left to prevent a 3-point opportunity. Martin missed both.

The Anteaters' loss allowed UC Davis (12-2) to clinch at least a share of the conference title. The Gauchos finished the week with a home sweep of the conference leaders.

Davis had 16 points to lead UCI, which made 5 of 15 free throws.
