this whole realignment thing is stupid. the big east is becoming the coast to coast confrence, the sun belt is probably considering taking teams from the ice belt, and at this rate it wouldnt surprise me is conference usa tries to take the university of puerto rico, conference loyalty means nothing anymore, and that should be sad. football conferences should be completely separate from the other sports, like men's volleyball, or hockey. completely different situations

Louisville will be in the Big 12 very soon. Big East should disband and all the jesuit schools from Big East and A-10 should create a Catholic League conference. You can have Marquette, Gtown, Providence, Seton Hall, St. Johns, Villanova, Notre Dame, DePaul, Xavier, St Joes, St. Bonnie, and Dayton

Murray State need to GET OUT of the Ohio Valley Conference! They need to go to C-USA for sure. At least the Sun Belt Conference. They are a great program that is in a terrible conference.

Notre Dame and one other could be in the mix as well. East = STJ, Gtown, Providence, Seton Hall, VCU Nova West = Depaul, Marq, xavier, butler, dayton, st. louis

I think the Bball only schools in the north east need to all group together and form their own separate athletic conference. Let the football schools go to football conferences. That way the Bball only schools won't get messed up in all this realignment.

Let's face it time for the 5 remaining big east fball schools to join other conf,Rutgers and uconn to acc after acc loses fsu and 1 of following Clemson,Miami or ga tech to big 12, l'ville and Cincy to big 12 as well and USf returns to cusa w/ every1 else big est added except sd st and Boise who stay put in mwc.then big east goes hoops only and adds tms from a10 and nd can remain Indy and keep other sports in big east

They need to make a conference in football made up of schools that for the most part are basketball schools. Kentucky, louisville, indiana, UNC, Duke, Kansas, Syracuse, Arizona, etc... I know it's a pipe dream but it would be cool.

I think Dana is a little premature in her prognosis that the CAA is on life support. Mason is staying and even if VCU decides to go to the A-10 and Old Dominion to C-USA that still leaves 9 full members, 4 of whom play football (plus 4 football affiliates). As long as they put football first in expansion they will be in good shape-- they should be looking at Stony Brook, full membership for NH and Maine, Coastal Carolina, and Liberty.

If the SEC wanted they could have any team in the ACC or Big 12. the Big 10 is the only conference that MIGHT be able to compete with us in this realignment scenario.

Actually the B1G no longer will out compete the SEC in financial deals the way they use too. The main reason for their previous financial domination was the fact they had greater viewership and the Big Ten Network. Due to population shifts/the addition of Texas and Missouri as well as the creation of the SEC Network we are in better position to make more annually then the B1G. However if a school wants to be in a conference that is academics centered rather than athletics centered then the B1G is the obvious choice.

The schools in the B1G would never leave for the SEC. I'm an SEC homer (UT) fan, but the schools in the B1G make more money. If a school had a choice they would choose the B1G over the SEC. Simply because they would make more money in the Big 10. But besides the B1G the SEC offers the most money.
