Providence sophomore forward Ben Bentil said Sunday that he will remain in the NBA draft.

The 6-foot-9 Bentil, who averaged 21.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game the past season and was one of the nation's most improved players, had until Wednesday -- the deadline for college players who declared for the NBA draft -- to make a decision.

"I think it's the best decision for me and my family," Bentil told ESPN. "I know I'm ready for the next chapter in my life."

Providence also lost standout point guard Kris Dunn, who is expected to go in the lottery. Dunn had one year of eligibility remaining.

Several NBA executives told ESPN that Bentil will likely go in the pick No. 25 to 45 range in the June 23 draft.
