Sources: Clippers' Blake Griffin has second surgery on broken hand

NBA, Los Angeles Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin underwent a second procedure on his broken right hand this week, sources told ESPN.

The procedure was related to the surgery Griffin had on his hand last week, after he suffered a spiral fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his right hand during a Jan. 23 altercation with Clippers equipment manager Matias Testi.

The procedure is not considered a setback, and sources said the initial time frame of four to six weeks for Griffin remains in place for now.

The NBA is still investigating the altercation.

Griffin has been sidelined since Dec. 26 after suffering a partially torn left quadriceps tendon in the Clippers' Christmas Day win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
