Cavs' Timofey Mozgov misses 2nd half with strained right shoulder

CLEVELAND -- Timofey Mozgov sat out the second half of the Cavaliers' 115-100 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday with a strained right shoulder and could undergo an MRI on Friday morning, depending on how his body feels.

"We got some appointments," Mozgov told ESPN.com. "We'll see what's going on. I can tell you nothing right now."

Mozgov subbed out of the game with 2:42 remaining in the second quarter after picking up his second foul. He could not recall when the injury occurred.

"I just go on the bench and sit for a minute, and there was a pain," Mozgov said. "But I don't know what it is. We're going to see (Friday)."

A sixth-year center, Mozgov came into Thursday's game averaging 8.5 points on 51.6 percent shooting and 5.0 rebounds. He finished Thursday with two points and no rebounds in 11 minutes. Tristan Thompson started the second half at center and finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cavs also were missing Mo Williams against the Bucks because of soreness in his lower right leg. Matthew Dellavedova started at point guard in Williams' place and had seven points and a career-high 13 assists.

Cavs coach David Blatt was asked if Mozgov and Williams could miss significant time because of their injuries.

"I hope not," Blatt said. "We're going to have to see how Mo responds (Friday) to treatment, and Moz will get (an imaging scan), and we'll see what the nature of his injury is. I just don't know what to tell you right now. Hopefully, they'll be OK, and, if not, we're going to go with what we've got and hopefully going to play the same kind of basketball."

Cleveland hosts the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday in an Eastern Conference finals rematch from last season.
