Time to worry about Gasol, Davis?

Fantasy, Fantasy NBA, NBA

Patience is hard to find in any aspect of life these days, and if you're looking to find it in fantasy sports, well, you've come to the wrong place.

It's not here.

A lot of times, it's for the better; hanging on to underperforming players for too long, no matter which sport you're playing, puts you in danger of being buried in the standings faster than you can say C.J. Anderson or Jeremy Hill ... but enough about my fantasy football team.

Point is, over the course of the season you have to be gutsy enough to make the moves necessary to win each week. And a lot of times, the eye test can tell you all you need to know about whether a certain player will turn his season around. Trust your instincts, because if you don't, you can probably kiss your playoff hopes goodbye.

Turning our attention to fantasy hoops, though, it's important to remember that we're a little more than one week into the season. Most teams have played only four or five games, save for the Atlanta Hawks (six) and Minnesota Timberwolves (three).

Is that enough time to panic and worry and complain? Sure it is. But is it enough time to know whether your high draft pick is going to be a bust? In almost every case, with bench-ridden Joakim Noah being one notable exception, the answer is "No."
