The Sacramento Kings have come to terms with Roland Beech to hire the longtime NBA sabermetrician to head up their analytics department, according to league sources. Sources told ESPN.com that Beech is poised to join the Kings as their vice president of analytics under Vlade Divac, Sacramento's new head of basketball operations.  Beech will thus fill a void created after another of the league's foremost analytics experts -- Dean Oliver -- recently left the organization. Beech spent the last six seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, most recently working as vice president of basketball operations. After founding the noted website 82games.com and then starting in Dallas as a con‎sultant in the 2005-06 season, Beech worked as an assistant coach behind the bench during the 2010-11 season, when Dallas won the first title in franchise history.
