AP source: Magic agree to trade Harkless to Trail Blazers

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A person with knowledge of the details says the Orlando Magic have agreed to trade forward Maurice Harkless to the Portland Trail Blazers for a future second-round draft pick.

The person spoke to The Associated Press Monday on condition of anonymity because the deal has not yet been officially announced. The trade was first reported by Yahoo Sports.

The 6-foot-9 Harkless just completed his third year in Orlando, averaging 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

The 22-year-old was originally drafted 15th overall by Philadelphia in the 2012 draft, and was dealt to the Magic prior to the start of his rookie season as part of a four-team deal that sent Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers.
