PORTLAND, Ore. -- Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook was taken to a Portland-area medical facility for further evaluation after being kneed in the head late in the Thunder's 115-112 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night.  Westbrook absorbed the blow to the side of his head as he dove toward the ball in anticipation of missing his own free throw attempt with 2.5 seconds left in the game. As Westbrook tried to regain his balance, teammate Andre Roberson's knee struck him in the head. Westbrook was face-down on the court for several seconds but got up and finished the game. He was not available for comment after the loss. A team spokesman confirmed Westbrook was taken to a local facility for tests and said there would be an update later on his condition. Asked immediately after the game about Westbrook's health, Thunder coach Scott Brooks said, "We don't know. We'll find out more later." The Thunder were scheduled to travel to Los Angeles after the game for Sunday's matchup against the Lakers. It was not immediately known whether Westbrook was able to travel with the team. Westbrook had one of his best games of the season Friday, finishing with 40 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for his third consecutive triple-double. Oklahoma City already was limited by several injuries entering the game, with reigning MVP Kevin Durant still out recovering from a foot injury and center Enes Kanter sidelined with a thigh bruise.
