CLEVELAND -- Kyrie Irving suffered an injury to his left shoulder in the second half of the Cleveland Cavaliers' 110-99 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.
Irving did not fly with the Cavs to Indiana on Thursday night for Friday's game against the Pacers. Rather, the All-Star point guard stayed behind to receive an MRI on his shoulder at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health.
Irving is considered doubtful for the Pacers game, although he could theoretically play if he is cleared Friday morning and has time to fly to Indianapolis on his own.
Irving retreated to the locker room shortly after sustaining the injury, but was able to re-enter the game, finishing with 24 points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist in 38 minutes.
"It's a little sore right now," Irving said after the game. "Obviously it's uncomfortable. We'll see how it feels tomorrow and go from there."
