Rockets' tweets add insult to injury

NBA, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves

Kobe Bryant's deadpan silence to his teammates' celebrations stole the show on Monday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" But overshadowed by that reaction was Bryant's assertion that if he were to start his own NBA team today, he would pick Houston guard James Harden as the cornerstone.

Meanwhile, miles away in Houston, Harden was validating Bryant by demolishing the Minnesota Timberwolves with his fourth career triple-double. It was a virtuoso performance, and yet another sign The Beard is a superstar and one of the league's few legitimate MVP candidates.

Just look at what he did to Ricky Rubio.

Basketball Twitter exploded after seeing that play, and few accounts were more vicious than the Rockets' own. It led to this fun exchange.

A Twitter account rendered speechless!

Somebody had to get in there and defend the Wolves' honor. Enter Andrew Wiggins.

That's Harden trying to pen a sequel to his instant classic by breaking down Wiggins. The Wolves' rookie has repeatedly proved this season, however, that his physical gifts are well beyond his age -- Wiggins dropped 30 points on Monday, his 20th birthday.

Of course, the Rockets cruised to an 11-point win and are now 3-0 against the Wolves this season. So far, they're undefeated on Twitter too.
