Aldridge out with sprained thumb

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Trail Blazers All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge missed a 98-92 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night because of a right thumb sprain.

It was not clear how Aldridge injured his thumb. He was out on the court with the team in warm-ups before the game.

Last month, Aldridge injured a ligament in his left thumb and decided to undergo surgery but then reversed himself 48 hours later and decided to play out the rest of the season.

Aldridge is averaging 23.4 points and 10.3 rebounds. He has 27 double-doubles this season.

The Blazers are 3-3 this season without Aldridge in the lineup.
