CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers forward Kevin Love expects to return to the starting lineup Monday night after missing one game with back spasms.

Love sat out Cleveland's win on Friday night against the Los Angeles Clippers. Following shootaround, Love said he will try to play in Monday night's game against the Chicago Bulls, the first of four home games for the Cavs this week.

Love's back bothered him in last Thursday's win over the Lakers. He said this is the first time in his career he has had issues with his back.

"I don't know what causes it, but when it does happen it's pretty paralyzing," Love said. "I'm happy it's just a spasm. It's just something kind of day by day. Treat it as is and go along and hope it doesn't happen."

Love was able to practice Sunday after the team flew home from the West Coast.

Love is averaging 17.7 points and 10.3 rebounds in his first season with Cleveland.

Also, newly acquired guard Iman Shumpert has taken part in contact drills the past two days in practice and could play this week. He's been out with a dislocated shoulder. Shumpert was acquired from the New York Knicks along with guard J.R. Smith in the trade that sent Dion Waiters to Oklahoma City.
