Davis, Duncan defying their age

San Antonio Spurs veteran Tim Duncan and up-and-coming New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis, whose teams meet Friday night in New Orleans, are at very different points in their NBA careers, but they have something in common: Both have defied their age with their performances so far this season.

For Davis, who would be wrapping up his senior season at the University of Kentucky if he followed the same four-year path as Duncan at Wake Forest -- just imagine how good John Calipari's team would be with "The Brow" still patrolling the middle -- that means playing beyond his years. And for Duncan, at 38, the league's second-oldest player after Andre Miller, that means continuing to outplay opponents who literally were in diapers when he was the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

How do Davis and Duncan stack up to their age-appropriate peer groups? And what's enabled their success? Let's take a look.
